A Portrait

… begins with recognition - before the camera is raised.

You are not becoming someone new.
You are simply becoming more of who you already are.

I am a Vancouver-based portrait photographer, originally from Germany, creating refined, editorial-inspired portraits for professionals, creatives, and individuals drawn to images that feel composed, inward, and quietly present.

Many of the people I photograph are at meaningful moments of transition — entering new chapters or returning to parts of themselves that may have been set aside while building careers, raising families, or meeting the needs of others.

I believe meaningful portraiture begins with recognition before reinvention: authenticity over performance, clarity over fabrication, presence over persona. Rather than constructing a new identity for the camera, I’m interested in revealing what is already present — while creating space for exploration, possibility, and a fuller expression of self to emerge.

Before becoming a photographer, I held senior roles in corporate marketing and communications, where outcomes depended on strategy, positioning, and clarity of message. That experience continues to shape how I approach photography: the image is considered before the shutter clicks. The rest is about creating the conditions for trust and presence, and refining the work through careful selection and editing.

The process is guided, but never forced, resulting in portraits that feel composed, self-assured, and distinctly personal.

I use my marketing background to help the people and brands I photograph to tell their story in authentic, relatable visuals.

A note on branding

Every client’s work has its own language—message, aesthetics, and tone. Not all commissioned work will reflect the visual direction shown here. The portfolio represents what is most in tune with my approach to portraiture.

Working Together

Each session is prepared with attention to concept, styling, and message. Depending on the direction of the shoot, I collaborate with a small circle of trusted creatives..

For projects that benefit from a more integrated approach, I work closely with a graphic designer. Together, we consider how image, design, and message align—ensuring the final work feels cohesive and intentional across platforms.

Commissions are structured individually, depending on the nature of the project and how the images are intended to be used.

If the work resonates with you and the timing feels right, let’s have a conversation about how you would like to be photographed.

I aim to empower women to step up and allow themselves to be seen as dynamic, powerful, sensual and creative individuals.
